Love & Boundaries in Asian Relationships is a gentle yet honest virtual conversation exploring the emotional complexities of love, guilt, and boundaries—especially within Asian families and cultural contexts.
Many of us in the AAPI community were raised with values like self-sacrifice, harmony, and filial piety. These ideals often taught us that love meant putting others first. But what if setting boundaries is also a form of love?
Together with the team at Dragonfruit, we’ll unpack:
- How cultural expectations shape our relationships with parents, partners, and ourselves
- Why guilt often arises when we begin asserting our needs
- How we can reimagine love that includes both compassion and self-respect
Whether you're navigating boundaries for the first time or reflecting on your emotional inheritance, this conversation invites Asian-identifying folks to explore how love and self-respect can coexist—and how healing can begin.
This is an accessible online event and Part 2 of our 3-part Learning Series. All are welcome.
