Join AMASIAN's July Learning Series to explore identity, power, and privilege in an interactive social justice workshop led by Abbi Stickels.



We’re excited to bring you the next session in the AMASIAN July Learning Series: Social Justice 101 – Understanding Our Identities, Power, and Privilege with Abbi Stickels.

What does social justice really mean in our everyday lives? How do our identities shape our experiences with power and privilege?
Join us for an interactive and thoughtful workshop where you’ll:
– Explore social justice frameworks through the lens of identity and power
– Reflect on your own positionality and its impact on the world around you
– Engage in creative activities with paper and colored pencils
– Participate in small group discussions to deepen understanding
This workshop is a welcoming space to learn, reflect, and grow—whether you’re new to social justice or looking to refresh your knowledge.
What to bring:
Participants are encouraged to have blank paper and colored crayons or pencils ready.
About our presenter:
Abbi Stickels (she/they) is an artist and academic staff member at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she serves as the Intercultural Education Specialist with the Office of Inclusion Education. With a master's degree in Education Leadership and Policy Analysis, Abbi is dedicated to advancing equity through dance, education, and community engagement.

Please do not park around the curved curb around the Eagle Heights visitors area or in tenant parking areas; your car will get towed.
